Hello, 49 and Market fans!
On today’s layout, I wanted to contrast the harshness of the city and the sweetness of the garden. Some weeks ago I found this wonderful photo of Joël (@jojo_mars) on Instagram and wanted to use it on this page. But unless it’s beautiful indeed, it has a dark core inside… So the option I liked the most was adding a bunch of flowers around to soften it (and you know how much I love to add flowers, don’t you?). Does it sound a bit allegoric? Yes, maybe… 🙂
This time I started by looking into my flowers stash. I didn’t know which colors to use on the layout, so I decided to see which colors I had and chose this wonderful tangerine. Instead of looking for other colors to combine, I decided to go only with that, mixed with green leaves. So the next step was looking for the perfect background, which is from Vintage Artistry in Sage color.
To start with, I made a draft composition to ensure that I liked the idea that was on my mind. When this was done, I painted all resin moulds with acrylic paint and Lindy’s, and also the chipboards, and set aside to dry. Meanwhile, it was time to work on the background. I ran out of crackle paste so I used heavy body paste today, over a stencil. When this was dry, I add some stamping with wonderful 49&Market stamps and made some green splashes around.
Afterward, I started to glue everything down. Firstly, the resins; then, the flowers. I was convinced about creating a triangular composition so I took time on adding all leaves and flowers on place. For the photo, I decided to go with the stitched frame, but before gluing down, I decided to mat it with some stacks in Coral color. I love how it ended!! I really love how those stacks go one over another! Final touches for this layout were made by adding wishing bubbles in soda pop color, along with green beads and art stones.
