Christmas Time – Layout by Patti Hamil

Hello everyone,
it’s getting close to Holiday time around here. Today I want to share a layout using the bright and cheerful new collection Holiday Wishes by ArtOptions. This collection has so many fun embellishments and just puts you in the mood for Christmas and all the fun activities!!! This is a photo of our daughter getting a big Christmas kiss from our English Bulldog! One of my favorite holiday photos ever!

I started with 2 sheets of the paper from the 12×12 collection pack: The Village and Poinsettia Dreams and added thin strips of the Washi Tape assortment at the bottom and top. I wanted to highlight the reds in the collection for this page.

I used lots of the Laser Cut Elements, especially the folliage and used foam dots underneath to give them dimension. I also used the lace border from the same pack. I mixed ephemera bits as well.

I used the chippies from the Chipboard set around the page also. For the title and also for some fun journaling beside the photo. The little postage stamps from the Laser Cut Elements are also popped up with foam dots, they are the absolute cutest and so detailed. Reminds you of old-timey country Christmas!!!

I used blooms from the Wildflowers and Nature’s Bounty collections. I again mixed them with the Laser Cut Elements foliage for a more realistic and dimensional look. The Laser cut elements mix beautifully with the other blooms for a truly beautiful look. I’m not great at flower arranging, but I have seen clusters by other designers that are absolutely stunning!!!

This photo shows the fun title. I just used several different chippies from the Chipboard set and layered them. The green, red and black looked great together for the page and I added the little lantern below it. You can see different pieces from the Ephemera pack peeking out from behind!

This is one of the most fun Christmas collections I have seen in a long time. So many different pieces and such beautiful holiday scenes, I’m sure you will absolutely love it.
