Hi there dear 49 and Market fans!
I am still very much in a Christmas mood. Who can blame me with gorgeous Vintage Artistry Peace and Joy paper collection on my desk? I used the special 6” x 8” Collection paper pack for the cards and decorated them with elements from the Vintage Artistry Noel collection. I am a bit of a “traditionalist” when it comes to Christmas with red and greens as my favorite colors for Christmas. These cards were so easy and fast to create and obviously lots of fun too.
My favorite size for cards is 4”x7.5”as they fit into a DL envelope with room to spare. I cut white card-stock 7.5”x8” and score down the center and fold over.
I cut 3 pieces of the patterned paper in the following sizes to layer as the background of the card:
- 3.7/8” x 7.3/8”
- 3.5” x 7”
- 3.1/4 x 6.3/4”
And chalked all the edges.
There are so many elements in the laser-cut sheets of the Vintage Artistry Noel collection to choose from. I love the fact that there is no fussy cutting!
I roughly grouped some elements together to form a pleasing cluster and again I chalked all around the edges. There is also an additional card-stock piece between the first and second layer to create depth.
The elements were also raised with foam tape to create more layers and interest. I added some sequence and glitter strips to create a festive atmosphere.
I created a pleasing embellishment cluster on both cards. I splattered with All Purpose Ink and added some sequence.
And voila, my cards are done!
