Chaumont’s Castle

Chaumont's Castle by Pascale B.

Hello Sweeties,

Today I’m up on 49 and Market blog with different projects. The first one showcases a photo of the castle of Chaumont-sur-Loire (Loire Valley, France). I want to made a monochromatic layout.

I started to prime the background with clear gesso. Then I added a design with a stencil and modeling paste. When dry, I sprayed the design with a Primary Element (Burnt Umber) mixed with water.

I covered the Brick Wall Bits with graphite paste and the Rose Border with clear crackle paste.

I primed the flowers with white gesso and when dry I colored them with the homemade brown spray.

I stamped the butterflies from the Vintage Artistry Stamp, fussy cut them and heat embossed them. I stamped the embossing powder while it was still warm.

I stamped the leaf from the Texture Stamp set on a watercolor paper with a black Archival ink and colored them with the same brown.

I have two easel cards to share made with the Flower Fairies of Spring collection from 49 and Market. I kept the design of the two cards really simple as I want the fairies to be the focused point.

I worked with the Lost Postcard paper for the first card.

I fussy cut some of the flowers to give some extra texture and I just added some of the Canvas and Burlap Small Blooms. One of them was used to keep the card open.

This card was realised with the Wind Flower paper.

I die-cut the first layer and glue it with a lot of 3D foam square. Then I fussy cut the beautiful fairy as well as some butterflies.

I finished the card with a 3D pearlescent paint.
