Hello 49 and Market fans! It’s Marilyn here with you today to share my first project and video tutorial.
I used the Serendipitous collection to create this romantic page about my son and his girlfriend. I started applying a coat of clear gesso to the Misty Breeze paper. Once dry, I gave it textures with a stencil and modeling paste. Next, I painted all the stencil work with iridescent paint and stamping randomly with the Pascale’s Rations stamp.
I made various circles to frame my photo using the Jute Cording- 5 Ply that I placed over a piece of cheesecloth and adhered them to the paper.
I started to embellish my page with the Garden Petals Twilight flowers and the Laser Die cuts from the same collection. Next, I added some pretty Wishing Bubbles and pearls to the background.
I applied glass beads with gel medium over the paint on the background. All these layers create dimension and depth. The tone of color change depends on the angle that you look at the layout because of the iridescent paint effect.
To finish I adhered the butterflies and added paint splatters in white and lavender colors.
You can enjoy all the creative process in the video tutorial. I hope it inspires you!
