For this layout, I decided to focus on the blues and greens from the new Spectrum Sherbet Tidal Wave to document these photos of my son and me getting our Covid vaccinations. I love the versatility of this collection with the availability of the various colours.
I started with the Patchwork Painted Foundations paper which is available either individually or as part of the Sherbert Foundations Pack. I added some pieces of the Spectrum Sherbert Washi Tape Assortment Set (diagonal stripe and stitching designs) to the top and bottom of the page to enhance the pre-printed elements on the paper.
I then created a layered stack of elements from the Spectrum Sherbert Remnants, to which I added some 6×8 Tidal Wave Rub-ons and layered them in pieces from the Spectrum Sherbert Essential Laser Cut Elements and Tidal Wave Ephemera Bits. I also used a die from my stash to cut the whole paper – I used the cover sheet from one of the 12×12 packs to cut this from.
Once the foundation was made, I then staggered my three 2×3 inch photos across it. I like to make these stacks separate from the layout so I can move it around to work out where it looks best before committing to sticking it down. Once I knew where I wanted it, I added various rub-ons from the 6×8 Tidal Wave Rub-ons to the background around where the photo stack would be attached. I then attached the photo stack.
There was a perfect phrase in the Tidal Wave Ephemera Bits to use for the title. I finished the layout with a word and heart from the Spectrum Sherbet Chipboard Words and pieces from the Spectrum Sherbert Wishing Bubbles and Baubles.
