Hello, 49 and Market fans!
Here I am once again to share with you a new layout with the wonderful Vintage Artistry collection in Sage color. I always like to mix and match the different range of papers, so I also used Captured Adventures laser cuts and Sky collage stacks. I’ve told you more than once on this blog that photos are your focus point and it should move you. That’s the only way in which you will create a layout that you love. So today I need to give credit to Abel (@abelinsane) for this wonderful photo of Michelle Ellyse, that have all those colors I wanted for my project and it also moves me to create.

As I do with all my layouts, first thing is looking for all elements that match colors with the photo on my stash. So I always end with lots of embellishments and flowers around 🙂 Then, I start to create a composition around the photo to be sure about the final look I want the project to have. When this is done, I take everything apart and start painting and covering my chipboards with color and texture. This way, I can set them apart to air dry while I continue working on the background.

The brown chipboard at the background is covered with UTEE to add brightness and a different touch to this layout. So next, I prepared the background by applying a coat of clear gesso on the selected paper from the collection. Heat dried and glued the paper over a 2mm cardboard in order to make it more stable and work properly over it. Once this was done, I applied some crackle white paste onto the background through a stencil, and some stamping here and there.

As I decided the composition previously, I started gluing down all elements but making some changes. I like to add texture touches when creating, and I added thread, cheesecloth and paper cuts to create interest around the photo. I also took some flowers in green and brown to match the whole layout. To finish the project, I added wishing bubbles, art stones and some color splashes.
