Hello, dear 49 and Market fans! Antonia Moreno with you today, sharing a new 12×12 layout. Have you ever thought about using your thematic scrapbooking papers for some other purposes? I love to use and reuse my papers, never mind if they are from winter or Valentine’s day. And, also, I love to mix papers from different collections: it works better than you think, so I encourage you to try it the next time. The layout I created for this month’s inspiration has a background from the summer mini collection – Seaside, and Ethereal embellishments and it isn’t a summertime layout.
As always, when I make a new layout I start looking carefully at the photo. That photo tells me the next step, and this time this was about creating a line from up to down on the paper, full of flowers and laser cuts. The arrangement of flowers from Ethereal laser cuts were also perfect to frame the photo. Maybe it’s not very clear to be seen, but the photo is around one inch up from the background..
So, firstly I worked on the background with some texture paste, stencil and stamps. Oh my god, I adore those Gabi’s stamps with flowers and lettering… <3 It’s one of my faves. Afterwards, I started the composition. It was not an easy task to find the right flowers. I wanted to use some cantaloupe’s ones, but also some blush… after a while looking on my stash, at last I find the ones I needed.
I do like to take time on the composition. I think that’s the most important part of the final layout you’re creating. Adding layers of embellishments help to make a project full of details that surely you’d like at the end.
When everything has find its right place, I start glueing down. Finally, I attached the photo and the title (previously painted with liquid ink). To add some more texture, I used art stones and Wishing Bubbles – don’t forget to use them, they’re perfect for any project!
