I am blessed to have some truly wonderful women in my life that I am lucky to call my friends. This bright and happy layout celebrates one of those friendships. The pandemic has meant that we haven’t seen each other for over two years, but I will be travelling back to Australia soon and it will be such a wonderful reunion.
I chose to use the Spectrum Sherbet collection for this layout and I took the opportunity to again feature one of the beautiful washi tapes. This layout uses a combination of all the colours from the Spectrum Sherbet collection.
I started with the Spectrum Sherbert Classics Splendored which is available either individually or as part of the Sherbert Classics Pack. I have used one 4×6 inch photo of Amanda and I. The design essentially forms a cross shape, with the photo and embellishments created the horizontal arm and a column of labels and embellishments forming the vertical arm.
I turned the Splendored paper on its side so the colours ran horizontally and then layered two strips of the Spectrum Sherbet 4” Lace Washi Tape down the left side of the paper, tearing the outside edges of the tape so it had more texture. I then edged the right edge of the washi tape with the teal rub-on from the 12 x 12 Tidal Wave Rub-on Transfer Sheet which I cut in the middle so it was at the top and bottom of the page. I knew the gap would be covered by the photo.
I used a stack of large pieces from the Tidal Wave and Strawberry Lemonade Ephemera Bits behind the photo using foam tape between some of the layers. The photo was attached just to the left of the middle of the page, with a selection of tags, a viewfinder, and tickets from the same Ephemera Bits at the bottom and left of the photo. I then layered flowers from the Spectrum Sherbert Strawberry Lemonade Laser Cut Elements around the photo.
The title cluster was made using a slide holder from the Strawberry Lemonade Ephemera Bits with words from the Chipboard Words.
I then added a column of labels and word strips from the Strawberry Lemonade Ephemera Bits – this gave me a spot for some journaling. I then added the circle elements (Ephemera Bits) with the hearts (Chipboard Words) at various places around the layout.
The final touch was dotting the Wishing Bubbles and Baubles in various spots and the stitched rub-ons from the 12 x 12 Tidal Wave Rub-on Transfer Sheet to the left and right sides of the layout.
There is a process video that shows you exactly how I created this layout if you are interested in knowing more.
