Georgie here with you today with my layout ‘Believe’. Had a few areas for inspiration for this one and actually ended being quite an emotional piece for me.
I know normally I’m very much into heavy mixed media layouts – lots of paints, mediums etc, but it was quite refreshing knock everything back a bit and let the image breathe.
The paper I used for this one is from the gorgeous Vintage Artistry Collection – The Report
Keeping to only one pack of flowers this time (my goodness, I know!!!) but using Lindy’s sprays to colour according to the theme, I used the Roses White Basics Pack to achieve all that I needed.
This is a great close up of the texture paste with black glitter glass in (apparently this reminded my son of cookie dough) and the punch out flourishes I used in and around the layout. Can you also see the little stamp ‘spirit’ peeking from behind the photo? 🙂
Love these little roses! Just perfect for dotting here and there to fan out detail, but they take colour so well!! Don’t lose shape or integrity, a definite must have for your essentials stash.
Finally finishing up, never been one for focal stamping but love messy background stamping. Even though I kept the stamping clean enough in this layout, the intention was for it to always be ‘behind the scenes’, however I do like how this one has found itself placed just so, next to the picture and under the title – never planned but just love how it turned out. I used the set I designed myself, with Janene’s amazing generosity of 49 and Market, With All Your Heart.
I will leave you with a video showing my creative process, but hope you have a lovely day, wherever in the world you may be!
