Hello Crafty Friends,
A very Happy New Year!
This is Veena, today I am here on 49 and Market blog to share my first DT project. I have created a Mixed Media Layout featuring Sage and Blush collection. This layout is inspired from the motherly bond I share with my sweet niece. In India mother’s sister is called “Massi” which means “like a mother”. I found this picture on Pinterest which represents the bond which Mother and Daughter share. You all know, the little girls love pink and her garden, so I chose this collection and created a flower garden around the Photo.
For the background, I chose “Vintage Artistry Sage – Delicate” paper from the “Vintage Artistry Sage -12X12 Sage” paper pack. I started by layering the ephemera elements from the “Vintage Artistry Blush Ephemera Stacks”. I have used cardboard pieces between each ephemera layer to give the project depth and height. I then used Blush/ Sage rub-ons transfer around the composition.
I then started prepping the embellishments – embossed the net chipboard from “6X6 Archival Board – Treasure” with “Snowflake Tinsel” EP and few mini leaves die cuts with “Reindeer Moss Green” EP. Waxed the Clock chipboard and resin pieces using “Indian Pink” wax.
Then, I started building the composition with gorgeous “Country Blooms – Blush” flowers, laser-cut elements, resin pieces, sisal by adhering them between each layer of ephemeras. I love the “Maura’s Vineyard – Rose” so much and I managed to use them in this layout which has given a beautiful extension to my composition.
I adorned the layout using glitters, pearls, beads, and art stones. I also added a butterfly and “Absolutely Beautiful” laser cut sentiment from the same collection. In the last, I did some stamping using the “Crazy Stitching Stamp set”.
Hope you like the Layout!
