Hi 49 and Market fans!!!
Today I am with you to show you my first creation of September. I hope she will inspire you. For this layout, I used the beautiful Vintage Artistry Coral collection. I love the colors in this collection and you? Despite a flowery background and the coral / pink color I still used a photo of my son which I find goes perfectly with this paper. You don’t have to stop at colors and patterns to make a boy’s or girl’s layout. It’s a very simple layout to do, not a lot of steps. I’ll explain a little how I proceeded for this layout.
Usually, I put transparent gesso on the page background but this time I didn’t use it because I didn’t want to work with liquid inks. I instead used brown Distress ink with a stencil to make a pattern all over the place. Then with another stencil and white chalk paint, I made a writing pattern to give a little relief to my page. I stamped the letter G with the Gratitude Today Stamp set because my son’s name is Gabriel. I have also stamped a note and some foliage around where I am going to put the flowers with black permanent ink. On the stone chipboards, I put a few colors of textured paint and on the foliage chipboards, I used a few colors of Distress Oxide ink.
Under the photo, I put a piece of ephemera and a laser cut from the Vintage Artistry sage collection which gives the impression of several layers of paper. And now the flower bouquets I put in several kinds of flowers, laser cuts, layered embellishment, chipboards, foliage, and frayed lace. I finished my page with a few drops of white paint diluted with a little water here and there.
