Hello dear Creatives!
I’m absolutely excited to be here with 49 and Market and to share my creativity with you. I hope you find some inspiration in the projects that I will be sharing over the next months.
I created my first layout with this beautiful photo of my two nieces. I love the color pallet of the photo and the 12 x 12 “Vintage Artistry Lilac Collection Pack” is a perfect match!
To create a layered background, I used “Tranquil” as the base and “Ingenue” on top. The “Ingenue” was first trimmed to 11.5” by 11.5”. Then I tore the bottom of the “Ingenue” paper in a “C” shape, starting roughly in the middle to about a quarter down, and the remainder piece in a similar shape. I distressed all the sides of the paper and adhered the larger piece over the smaller piece onto the base sheet (“Tranquil”).
To create additional interest and dimension, I stenciled first with texture paste randomly, then I added some watercolor paint and splatters.
The “window pane” and the “crochet bunting” on the laser cut sheets of the Collection Pack were my main inspiration for the focal point of my layout. I layered them, together with elements from the “Lilac Ephemera Stacks”. The photograph is raised and matted on a piece of “Gestural” paper. I also added a piece of gauze to create a romantic feel.
I created two small bouquets with various flowers and flower buds from these flower packs: “Huckleberry Sugar Stems”, “Wildflowers-Punch” and “Flowers Mini Series 1 – Punch” as embellishment clusters. I wanted to stay with the monochrome mood so I cut the magenta leaves from the “Gestural” sheet to add to the flower bouquets.
To complete the layout, I stamped small branches of leaves from the “In Between” stamp set, added Rub-on Transfers (Vintage Artistry: Butter & Lilac), art stoners and balls, and more watercolor paint splatters. I finished off with Big Chat word stickers.
