Beach – Layout by Veena Chowdhry

Hello Friends!

This is Veena, today I am here to share the mixed media layout which I have created using the beautiful “Vintage Artistry Beached” Collection Pack. For my layout, I have used a photo from Imaya SR Photography.

I still remember the time when I went to Goa on a vacation with my family and we had lots of fun, we all became a child playing in the water, collecting seashells from the beautiful beaches with my niece who was just 1.5 years old that time. Those precious moments inspired me to create this layout and will gift it to my niece to hold the beautiful photos we took.

To start my project, I adhered to the “Vintage Artistry Beached – Oceanic” paper on thick chipboard and applied clear gesso on it. I then prepped the clay and chipboard embellishments by applying white gesso and sprinkling glitter on them.

For the focal point, I used the window from the “Vintage Artistry Beached – Ephemera Bits” and used it as the frame for the photo. I adhered the photo to the window and cardboard pieces at the back to give it a dimension.

I then built the composition by layering the “Majestic Bouquet – Mango Paper” and “Sugar Petals – Blue Raspberry” flowers and added clay, chipboards and laser cut embellishments. I also took few laser cuts and adhered them around the composition.

Then, I added pearls, art stones, sequins. I also applied blue shade watercolor around the composition to add depth. To finish my project, I applied “Vintage Artistry Beached – Rub-On Transfers”. I just love the rub-ons, they add such a beautiful texture to the base.
