Hello, dear 49 and Market fans! Antonia Moreno with you today, sharing a new project. This time I decided to go round and create a rounded layout. Have you ever tried it? It’s a different way to work a layout and it boosts your creativity. I encourage you to give it a try!

For that purpose, I bought a wooden frame from a dollar store, which I first painted with orange color, following the photo tones. Afterwards, I cut the paper for the background (did you noticed that it is a paper from the Shipwreck Mini Collection?) and worked on it with stencil, texture paste and some stamping here and there. When the background was glued to the frame, it was time to start the composition.

As you probably know, I love inspiring photos for my projects, and this one was perfect for an “Autumn Treasure” layout. I like those kind of photos that have contrast colors: if they’re too pale, they don’t inspire me. Am I the only one on this side?

There were some skeleton clockfaces scraps on my desk and inked them to match the blue color. After attaching it to the wooden surface, I took all the flowers from my stash and started to look for the perfect ones for this layout. The photo has beautiful blue and orange/red tones, so I decided to work with those shades: Cantaloupe and Marina are my fave flowers’ colors and it was a great opportunity to use both on the same project 🙂

Composition was the hardest part: I wanted to cover half of the frame, but once and again I found myself working on left and right part at the same time. So finally I listened to my intuition and played with the embellishments to create layers in the way that I liked. Layered embellishments and archival board were an important part of the fun, as they gave me the choice to add more layers.

When everything was on its place, I added little art stones and blue beads, which adds some more light to the project..
