“Always” layout by Valia Katzaki

Hello 49 and Market friends!

It’s Valia Katzaki today on the blog with my last post for 49 and Market… Its is a sad day for me because family and health issues are forcing me to resign from this amazing group of super talented and loving ladies. Janene I would like to thank you once more for your trust in me! I’m sending tons of love to my fellow DT members as well for their encouraging comments!

Now, on to our artsy stuff. A layout titled “Always”, inspired by the long lost love of Professor Severus Snape – can you tell I have a teenage daughter who is the ultimate Harry Potter fan?

I used the “Faded Bloom” paper from the Heirloom Botanicals collections as my base paper. I applied one layer of white crackle text with glitter and one layer og gloss gel medium mixed with lilac opal mica, glass glitter and white glitter for an extra shiny effect. Lindy’s Stamp Gang mists were used to color the paper. Finally, I used Gabi’s Postcard from Paris stamp with black permament ink to accent my layout.

I cut the Pale Lavender garden vine into three pieces and placed it around my photo. All flowers were sprayed with a mica-made mist for extra shine.

I cut the lovely fairy from the “From the Root” paper of “Flowers Fairies” collection and accented her dress with stickles.

Alabaster Garden blooms were scatterred around my layout to make it fuller. I also used some tiny leftovers of the “Harmony” paper to back my small resin frames.

All chipboard used are from Dusty Attic and you can find them at The Scrapbook Diaries.
