Hello, 49 and Market fans!
Antonia with you today sharing a new layout. To be sincere with you, I’m not fond of pinks. I rarely work with that color. But you may know that Katie has created a wonderful collection called Avesta which is almost in pinks and greens. The embellishments are so awesome that I needed to work with them! And I was lucky to borrow the perfect photo for it from Alan, a wonderful inspirational photo!
Have you seen the new range of fabric tapes? They are amazing, better on hand than seen on the screen. I wanted to use one of them on this project. After thinking about how to do it, I decided to distress the borders of the background paper in order to add the fabric tape below, as if it were a new layer of paper. The texture it gives is wonderful, difficult to be explained, you will love it! For this, I chose a fabric tape in grey and pink with stamped letters and splashes.
Then I took the new laser cut elements and ephemera bits to create the main composition. I took some papers to mat the photo in both colors and some laser cuts to be added as layers here and there. When everything was ok on my mind, I started working on the background paper. I used lots of rub-on transfers over it, as I wanted to mix different textures (fabric, rub ons, paper, wire…), and then I started layering the different elements.
I also took some wire elements from different flower ranges and used them to add texture, imitating the photo. Then it was time for the flowers and leaves! I took leaves from different ranges too and pink flowers, and started to layer them here and there to bring the layout to life. To finish my project, I added some wishing bubbles, art stones, and more rub-ons.
