Hello Crafty Friends,
This is Veena again with another inspiration. This time, I have created a Mixed Media Canvas using “Vintage Artistry Lilac” and “Irrevocable Beauty” collections. As it has vibrant, lively colors and represents a cheerful environment, I created this for the entrance of the living room.
For the background, I chose “Vintage Artistry Lilac – Tranquil” paper from the 12X12 paper pack. I started with a window laser cut from “Vintage Artistry Lilac” which is my focal element and created a background for it using “Loves Me Loves Me Not” paper from “Irrevocable Beauty”. I used cardboard pieces to give height to the window.
I then started building the composition around the focal element. I have used laser cuts from “Vintage Artistry Lilac”, ephemera elements from the “Vintage Artistry Lilac Ephemera Stacks”. I have used a chipboard oval frame for highlighting the flower and clock laser cut of “Vintage Artistry Lilac”.
Now I started building the flower composition with gorgeous “Wildflower – Punch”, “Enchanted Petals – Sunshine”, “Sugar Petals – Huckleberry” and “Sugar Stems – Huckleberry” flowers, to add magic to my composition I used fussy cuts from “Irrevocable Beauty” which I shaped with the back of the brush(you can use ball tool). I also used a cute resin angel in the composition.
To balance the composition, I have built another small composition on the top corner showing the leaves and the flowers falling from the top. Next, I have given a special impression with “Vintage Artistry Butter / Lilac Rub-On Transfers”.
I adorned the layout using glitters, pearls, beads, and art stones. I also added a butterfly and “all good things” laser cut sentiment from the same collection. In the end, I added white embossed vines chipboards.
I filmed the process video for this canvas:
