Hello, 49 and Market fans!
Antonia with you once again sharing a new layout. Do you like black and white layouts? I love them but I’d rather work with colors as they seem to pop up easily when looking for inspiration. Nevertheless, this time I decided to give it a try and create a kind of b/w project. It is a “kind of” because I finally chose greens to add a bit touch of color around 🙂
Also, I wanted to highlight one of the wonderful products that 49 & Market created this year: the fabric and washi tapes. 10 meters of fun and wonderful repositionable quality fabric/washi tape. And that’s why I used them to create the background of the layout. I took one of the washi tapes and covered the left side. As you can see, the tapes are wide enough to work with them as you want!
Afterward, I worked with the matting of the photo. I took the fabric tapes and covered some white cardboard. Then, cut them to fit the photo as frames. Decided to go further adding also some tags and ephemera bits to deliver some more interest around the photo.
When the black and white paint on the chipboards was dry, I started the composition. Before gluing everything down I decided where to add rub-ons, lots of them, from the Botanical collection. Some of them are just black, so they were perfect for the project. Then it was time for the flowers. I chose some white ones from my stash. I wanted it to keep clean but green leaves popped up so good that I decided to add some of them and also some green flowers just to add a “touch”. And to finish my project, I also added some wishing bubbles and baubles, and art stones.
