“Sirmione” by Gerry van Gent

Hello crafty friends!

This is Gerry again…today I am sharing another project for this month – a canvas panel featuring the fun, sunny and yummy “Sand and Sea” Collection. About the title “Sirmione” – this is a comune in the north part of Italy. It’s a historical place which is situated on a peninsula – an amazingly beautiful place and so much worth the visit. The photo I scrapped was taken last summer in Sirmione during our vacation.

Layered Embellishments “Sand and Sea”

As you can see I didn’t use any flowers on my project this time. Because I tried to create kind of underwater world I decided not to use any. What a difficult decision that was!

I loved adding the fishing net to complement my embellishments.

I am never afraid to mix different materials – here you can see eg. fussy-cut paper embellishments, plastic layered embellishments, epoxy bubbles and chipboard.

To give more texture on the masked background I traced all masked parts with puffy paint – you dry the paint with a heating tool and the paint puffs itself.

Of course, I didn’t miss using my distress piercing tool – love tracing the edges!

You can find the tool here ——-> HERE

Other projects I used:

Dusty Attic Chipboard Rosemary #2

I hope you enjoyed my project today!

Happy crafting!
