Seaside Cards

Hello again!

Karola here with new inspiration of Sand and Sea collection today!

As I mentioned early, I’m totally in love with the colors of our new collection. I love the choice between cool and warm tones.  I chose the warmer ones today for my set of two cards  – salmon, delicate red, teal…

Started, as always, from the background paper, this time I decided to create double layered background using B side of Beach This Way sheet as a 1st layer and Coral Reef as well as Sea Creatures papers on my 2nd layers of the background. In fact, I used 8 x 8 Sand and Sea paper pack (it’s perfect for cardmaking and mini albums!).

As you can see, I cutted out a few beautiful designs from papers: starfishes, seashells, seahorses and jellyfishes to build my layered and dimensional projects. In addition to the above mentioned papers, I also used Down Under sheet, full of amazing designs ready to cut out! As in my previous project – yesterday’s layout – here also used natural keepsakes I always love to collect on the beaches I visit. Driftwood, dry grass, seashells are perfect addition to the theme of my cards. They certainly add authenticity to the project…

I decided to use some stamping this time. Since I received stunning Valerie Ouellet stamps line, I just love her designs and can’t resist to use it this time. I stamped and embossed with a white powder a beautiful leaves from Valerie’s You Are Loved Stamp Set . Also, used gorgeous sentiment from the same stamp set and stamped it using black in, then cuted out and stick with dimension.

Tops of my cards are decorated with stunning flowers from Floral Mixology line – I used Pina Colada, Cosmopolitan and Mojito sets, chosing the lighter flowers tones.

I hope I was able to inspire you a bit with my today’s cards. I think the “seaside” theme is perfect for so many occasions, especially if card recipient loves sea or similar topics.

Have a wonderful start in creative month of June!
